I really wish I could tell everyone that I made this cake from scratch, but I am afraid I can’t take full credit for this Forth of July inspired cake. I am trying my best to Make Chaos look as Graceful as I can, and baking from scratch is something I haven’t fully mastered——yet. I am just being real with everyone…. (haha!).
So how did I make this cake?? Well Thank You—- Betty Crocker with the development of cake’s in a box. While I was out at the grocery store I snagged a couple of boxes of the Betty Crocker Pound Cake. I baked it in a bundt pan similar to—- this one. If you aren’t a baking kinda person, don’t worry— I’m not either. But using this Box cake will make you think you are one!!
How to create the perfect cake
Obviously, you need to follow the instructions on the box. Having the right temperature and the right amount of cooking time is also a key factor. I don’t know about anyone else, but removing your cake from the pan (and still have everything intact) can be a tricky process. Even though I was using a none-stick pan, sometimes my cake still has a way of sticking to the pan. So what do I do to fix this?? Well I simply rub butter all over the inside of the pan, followed by a very light dusting of flour. After my cake has fully cooked, and cooled down—- I remove my cake from the pan by flipping it upside down. With the help of a little added butter and flour on the pan—- my cake will remove easily and fully intact!!!
